Question HELP!!!Yokohama JDM Tires Replacement

To all,

I bought a set of LS WORK Wheels about 2 years back. Last winter, the rear driverside tire blew up when I ran over some screw on I-476 in Philadelphia. Here is the issue I have:

- I have been calling almost all the Yokohama Dealers in the Tri-States area, no luck! Until today, I called YOKOHAMA Corp., got through the phone maze no problem. Found out from Yokohama Corp that I am now officially "SHEIEEEIT out of Luck" because they DO not carry or ever Sold that size of tire in US Market.

Well, where else can I turn to when I need help and advise after all other resources failed... Club Lexus.

Anyone knows anything about this and where to buy one (1) or 2, I only need maximum 2 tires, since I run 9.5 front, 10 back on my GS, here is the INFORMATION:

YOKHOHAMA AVID S306 245/35/ZR19

TireRack, please help!

Sounds like you should get different tires. A quick look at Tirerack.com shows a number of different tires to choose from in that size and speed rating. I'm sure many of them would work just fine.

So why not get a different tire?

I don't get it.

but the amount it would cost to purchase them and then ship them from Japan just wouldn't be worth it..

my advice, just get a set of completely new tires..

If other companies make tires in that size then I would save the time, money and hassle and switch to a tire that is made here. If that size isnt available here then I would look for the next closest size instead of going through the hassle of trying to import them and waiting while that is done.

C..just fyi..the yokos s306 avid is only available in japan market. and i think even they are been discontinued in japan. as felow CL guys mentioned, it does not really $$ sense to get one tyre from japan(even if it is still available)

the S306 is the entry level yokos in japan.

the dunlops dz101 offered by tirerack are great tyres, esp for the price listed.
