Polish stock gs wheels?
I tried serching the forums but could not find any info. I was wondering if its possible or if anyone has tried to polish a set of stock 17" wheels on a gs. I was cleaning mine up and it looks like they are alloy, but the outer is painted silver. Any info would be appreciated. I just would like to find out before i start taking the paint off and have to repaint them.

Polishing the stockers is not a problem. Are you in NorCal or SoCal region?
We have a very good source for polishing that I can recommend in NorCal, but for SoCal you'll have to post over there to find out local shops.
You can do it yourself, but it's gonna be a ton elbow grease and buffing it up to shine is usually better left to the pros.

Is it worh doing? seems like everyone likes them chromed. I know polished takes more work, but its cheaper than chrome? and you dont have the rust or flaking. As far as time to do it, There my backup wheels so its not like I have to rush or anything. Also I wonder if that new ball buffer thing from mguires works any good?

In the Northeastern US, chrome wheels tend to flake from all the salt during the winter. I just picked up polished TT wheels and so far they have been maintenance free.
That guy from Supraforums spend a couple of weeks doing it. On and off of course.
