Default Maybe I overtorked the Lugs??? it broke off!!!

So yesterday I was taking off my wheels to clean them and as I'm putting it back on I broke one of the male threaded posts that the lugs screw into. I had the wheel already on, putting lugs on all the posts, and this thing just kept turning, it didn't get real hard so I didn't feel that I over torqued it but I just kept turning and it just snapped off.

Now that wheel is on with 4 lugs, I should be ok I'm guessing but now what? Do I have to take apart the whole wheel chasis to change that out? anybody know what part number I need? Help! *whimper*

wait, are you saying that the stud broke off of the lug nut? the nut should be female and the stud is male

with 4 lug nuts, you are fine, but don't stay with that for too long. get the broken part replaced soon

You should invest in a torque wrench... no more broken studs, no guess work.

Yeah, you may have to take off the caliper to get to the back of the rotor where the studs are, thats what I had to do on my SC, I'd guess the GS is similar in design. Once you do that its pretty easy. One tip is go ahead and put a nut on the new bolt before you put the wheeel back on and at least pull it through part way, otherwise it will fall back out sometimes.
