Question Anyone with Goodyear Assurance experience?

I have an '01 ES, stock 16" wheels, currently w/ 108,700 miles, and I drive daily from town to town, and highways on the weekends. I'm running Toyo Proxes TPT for over 45K miles, and recently, one of the front tires is wearing down to almost 2/32" tread thickness.

So I figure it's time, and I'm about to pull the trigger for a new set of tires, particularly the Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds. I found these on Tire Rack, retailed at $92 per tire. Plus, all the ratings and reviews have been "superior" on that site, so these seem to be a great choice for an all-season, performance tire. Not to mention that they come with an 80,000 mile treadlife warranty, free replacement for the first year or 25% of tread, and a $50 grocery card

So if anyone has run Goodyear Assurance tires on his/her ride, please let me know of your experience with them. Or if you have other alternative tire choices in mind, let me know also. I appreciate the feedback

The Goodyear Assurance is a great tire....but there are many great tires. My only advice is to do your homework and choose based on trade-offs. For example, if you opt for mileage (i.e. 80K tire), then you give up some comfort/performance. And the opposite is true as well.

Michelin Pilots are most definately your best choice, but they are pricey.....the Micehlin MXV4's are great too. Other excellent options are the Bridgestone Turanza for comfort or the Potenza's for performance.

Keep in mind, the Toyo's that came on the car are V-rated, which are very quiet and feel the road well. In my humble opinion, these Toyos are a great tire. I liked them alot on my ES300. I now have Pirelli P6's, and I'm extremely happy with them too....I also got a killer deal on them which is why I decided to put them on.

Tires are basically up to you...just depends on what your priorities are. My only two cents....if you are putting on the same OE size tire, stick with the V-Rated ones.
