Wheel choice help
Hi... I used be on this forum several years ago with my 98 GS400, I sold it for a 03 E500 that was a headache in the making and went through a year of grueling visits to the dealer. On a whim I sold it and bought a 05 Evo VIII MR, but being followed around by cops and revved on by riced out Civics wasnt my cup of tea so I traded it in for a 03 GS300 that I might super-charge at a later date. My first and most important mod is to get some new shoes. Id like to see what you guys think...
1) 5 Zigen Hyper Black 5ZRs 20"
2) BBS LM Black or Midnight Blue centers 19"
I had 20s on my GS4 and ride quality wasnt all that plus every little hole in the ground had me worried Id bend the wheels. Im also afraid that the 6 cyl. wont have enough torque to pull the 20s as my GS4 did. I have a screaming deal on both of the wheesl listed above, so either way Id make out really well. What do you guys think?

Yea BBS probably
Im most likely going to get the BBS LM Center in black chrome or polished just to be a little different. Friends are recommeneding a magnesium gunmetal coating thats glossy and seems all the rage in Asia right now.
Yea the E500 was pretty bad, they recalled over 50 parts on that car, I had it bout 8 months and was in dealer for either recalled parts or dealer warranty about 4 times. When I had my GS400 for a year and 6 months... I never took it in except for oil changes, parts pickups, and car washes, otherwise it was the most reliable car Ive ever driven. Ive owned over 40 cars since I got my license and have owned almost ever Mercedes model as well as Bimmers and others and have to say Lexus is on the top of my list.

Lexus Champion
I'd say the LMs... but there's a caveat:
You'll have to take the LMs apart to do this type of finish- they are only available in silver from BBS.
Just so you know, this will void any BBS warranty... and taking wheels apart isn't as easy as it sounds! Re-assembling them in the correct sequence with the correct torque settings is even more critical.
Welcome back to the Lexus family!

thanks
Thanks guys!
Yea decided to go with the LMs, they are being powder-coated magnesium centers as I type and should be here in about 2-3 weeks. In Asia, they are able to powder-coat/paint the centers without unsealing the wheel and taking it apart. Ive seen pics of wheels with the treatment and they look stock. Perfect job, they do it it BBS, Hartge, Alpina wheels in HK all the time.
Air shipping will take bout 2 weeks, so Ill post pics once they are on the car.
