Default are TSW wheels a decent brand?

I like these Q5 wheels: http://www.streetdreams.org/display....5&fin=Machined if I can't get a set of 18's off a gs430, but these are so low priced, are they a crap wheel?

The current issue of EuroTuner magazine has a wheel article. As I recalled, the TSW wheels are heavier than other brands.

they have been around for quite some time now

I would say they're somewhere in the middle as far as quality and reputation.

I must say, they are getting pretty aggresive on style

They are comparable to stock 1-pc alloys. You won't get the admiration of the many "rim-snobs" on the forum, but they are good wheels. For $200 each, you can't go wrong if you like them.

However, that wheel is discontinued in the US, so if you ever need a replacement, you may be out of luck. But really, that's the case with many wheels.

And as others have mentioned, TSW's have always been heavy.

Those wheels look a little plain, too plain for a GS. Tsw have some other nice wheels that would look good on the GS. Just MHO.

Exactly, a decent quality wheel, for a good price. There is always going to be a compromise, and wheels like this strike a good balance of price, build quality, size, and (new for this year) staggered fitments. However they are a "off the shelf" item. Meaning they are made in a few sizes, a few offsets, and a few finishes, case closed.

I think the most important thing to remember with wheels like TSW / Axis, etc is that you dont get to ask those iFORGED / HRE / WORK questions, like:

1. Can I get a xx front offset and a xx rear offset with a 3.5687" lip in front and a 4.5339 lip in back?

2. Can I get superhiperalloychromiumgraphite finish?

3, are these hubcentric, lightweight, forged, and super duper exclusive?

4. Can these be custom spec'd to clear my bbk? etc

At this price point, these things are not going to happen (which is what allows them to stay at this price point!)
