Default 17" front and 18" rear?

what are the issues that come from running 17" fronts and 18" in the rear?

What tire size are you planning to use? Are you going for a larger diameter overall in the rear?

Yes
I'd like an agressive stance on the SC

I think that'd work decently. You might want to go 18/19 if you have the funds. I wanted to do so, but didn't want to pay $350+ per tire for the 19 inch tires.

if you cannot find a set of 17/18 that you like... you might just want to consider getting all 17 or all 18 and just getting different tire sizes.. larger sidewalls for the rear and small for the front

This keeps the OD similar but the sidewalls are smaller in the back and in the front. With a bigger rim, the rear tire sidewall will look even thinner. Doesn't this look imbalanced?

I guess it is just the SC body style that makes a 20" rear 19" front look balanced. Take a look at this photo (I hope J4Dint doesn't mind). He's got 20" all around. By looking at the photo pictured below, doesn't it create the illusion that the front wheel is larger than the rear? Now I know this is because his car is a tad bit higher up front than it is in the rear, but since it is impractical to lower anymore in the front (unless you've got air-ride), it will create the illusion of a larger wheel up front than in the rear. Follow the body line of the SC, the fender cutouts are larger front than rear, so this is my reasoning for going a 19" front 20" rear, to create a more balanced appearance.. so really they will both look like 19s. My front will be slammed as far is it can go, without it being tucked, but since my rear wheels are stationary and not turning, I will tuck them about half an inch. Will post pics once wheels are mounted.
