Default Novice tire question

Ok I have stock rims on my SC430, now I believe the regular tires are 245/40-18 now can I put wider tires on those rims like 275/35-18 or 285/35-18 or would I have to get new rims that would support wider tires?
One other question is there a tire that is similar to Michelin Pilot sport that is all season not just a summer tire?

Thanks in advance!

You would only be able to put the 275 35 18's on the rear of the car........if your driving the SC in snowy conditions, this is not a very wise idea as you will be getting less traction because of the wider tire. Here is a list of tires that come in the 245 40 18 original size. I like the Michelin, Continental, Yoko & Pirelli choices in an all season performance tire. Good Luck!

i dont' suggest doing that on the stock sc430 rims. i believe they are only 8 wide (maybe 8.5), and 275 is way too wide for it i say
