Exclamation What size tires?

I currently have Yokohama AVS Sport 265/30/19 on my dropped gen1 GS300 with 19x8.5 rims, I need new tires what size is best for my car, I was told that the tires I have are on the very large end for my size rims. What should I get?

275/30/19
255/35/19
245/35/19

I am afraid to get the 35 series as I already slightly rub when I turn very sharp from a stop. But I want what's best for my car and my size rims.

Thanks!

265/30/19 is a bit much it for a 8.5 width wheel. The highest you should go with is 255/35/19, but 245-35-19 would be perfect.

Now obviously the 245/35/19 is narrower than what I have now which will reduce rubbing in the width, but it is also a 35 series instead of the 30 I have now; how much do I need to worry about it rubbing more or worse than it does now since the tire is taller? I can also get a 235/35/19 but now I keep going more and more narrow of tire. I want as much rubber as possible, but want to do is safetly. The tires I had worn unevenly on the inside edge, did that have to do with the fact that those larger tires were squeezed onto a smaller rim?

The correct tires for a 19" rim is 245/35/19. Another way to prevent any rubbing of the fender on sharp turns is to get a set of coilovers since they will stop the travel of the spring.

Also note that certain tires will be beefy such as michelin pilot sports in which they are boxy.

I doubt that going with a narrower but taller sidewall tirewall will cause it to rub more/worse. If anything, it'll rub the about the same amount at most. In addition to going with a narrower tire, you could either shave or roll the fenders to get some more cleareance between the fender and the tire. Going with a 235/35/19 tire will be fine, it just means a little less tire protection from curbs. The inner tire wear is due to the negative camber you get from the lowering springs.

And as LexAristo mentioned, certain brands of tires have differently shaped sidewalls. For example, Michelin Pilot Sports have a square-ish/straight sidewall, whereas Falken tires have a more round/curved sidewall.

err..... yes the 245/35 will have a BIT taller side wall, but that's it, A BIT. it's very little more than the 265/30 you have now, but the saving on the width should help a lot on the rubbing, especially if you are rubbing the outside of the wheel well

245/35 19 is about .5 inches taller. I agree it is the best size.
