Default Brake Rotors (SR Performance)

Need to replace all four of my brake rotors and since I have aftermarket MOMO wheels I need to get something with a coated hat. Was looking on E-bay and there is a seller that sells SR Performance cross drilled rotors (front and rear) for $132.00 for all four ($50.00 shipping). I know, you get what you pay for, but there feedback is great. Anybody here purchased these before? Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Shane

The feedback is great because it's left when the item has arrived and even cheap rotors look fantastic when they are new.

It's how they sell Daewoo's. Look nice on the lot but give it 3 months.

The downfalls to cheap rotors are cracking and corrosion (even if coated) and these won't show up for quite some time. Long after you've left your happy feedback. Why are you looking for cross-drilled? They are really pointless on the street.

I'd recommend a nice set of new standard rotors. Paint the hats and vanes and you won't have any problems. They will perform basically the same as the cheap cross-drilled rotors with the exception that they are cheaper and will last longer.

JMHO.

CleanSC,

Kinda what I was thinking. Only problem with the factory rotors is there going to be about $100.00 a piece.
I also found a set of front and rear Brembos that are cross drilled and slotted for around $299.00 shipped. I could really care less if there drilled or slotted as I'll be using factory pads. My actual rotors at this time aren't bad but the hats are rusted to hell. What type of black paint did you use to paint your hubs??

Thanks,
Shane

Shane...

100 bux a rotor! I got my LS400 rotors (huge) for 28 dollars at the corner mom and pop auto part store. In fact my whole LS4 big brake upgrade upgrade including new rotors, new pads, and junkyard calipers cost a grand total of $191.

Check out the prices at the auto part chains that serve mechanics like Napa, Papco, or Bumper to Bumper. Pep Boys, Advance, and AutoZone are a bunch of thieves. They each qouted me over $100 for the '92 SC rear rotors and I found them at Bumper to Bumper for $17. Yes, $17.

Shop around. Good luck!
