Are black wheels still "IN"???
I have a 2000 GS400 black on black with the platinum edition on it.I am contemplating doing a set of black center IForged wheels on it in a 20" staggered fitment. My question is, are the black wheels still tasteful with todays trends?I have noticed alot of the "VIP" cars going with a diamond cut finish. Here is a pic of a GS that has the black wheels.

blk finish, imho, is the trend now..many many top jdm rim makers are going for this route now, with "limited" offerings on their top wheels
diamond polish finish, is one of those that will never be out of style

That concern is what made me decide not to go with black center wheels for my last wheel purchase. I was worried that they would go out of style in a couple of years.
IMO, silver truly will never go out of style. Black eventually will. If you like black wheels, just don't wash your silver ones .

I think its a matter of taste, just ensure you are choosing that style because you like it, and not to follow a trend. For instance, I have always liked lusterous wheels, so I always choose them, I don't do it to follow a trend (bling bling, whatever it may be called).
I like that black car you posted as well.

Black/black is sinister and only a few had it. Now, with all the wheel/tire companies/choices and with the whole car movement, its not as rare but still stunning. very stunning.
Word is flat black is what is next. In other words, black wheels not glossy like the paint.
