Default Yet another FIRST EVER on CL???

Hehehe, I just got back from the wheel shop today. The owner called me a few days ago that he chanced upon VERY VERY VERY rare 20" Dronell BR version 2 3-pc forged wheels. The front and rear offset is +24 and the PCD is 5x120 (for Mercedes but will fit our cars with no problem). He told me to come over and try them and see if I'd like to buy them. I said, heck, why not, everyone on CL is sporting 20s (even junctiongs!), soI thought maybe now is as good a time as any to move up.....

(WARNING: the work involved in fitting these wheels are not for the faint of heart. Specs are: 20x8.5 +24 /w 225/35/20 tires up front and 20x9.5 +24 with 245/35/20 in the back. Can we say STRETCHED!?!?)

Can we say forged???

Stretched in the back.....many of you probably don't approve, but it takes one to understand.....

On another unrelated post, I finally got around to installing the HKS RS polished aluminium intake arm to replace my stock black rubbery one.....definitely freshens up the engine bay quite a bit...

Photos are all taken with my brother's Canon S60 and I was in a hurry coz I'd been at the shop for the last 7 hours and I needed a shower bad......so scuze the nasty quality of the pics. I promise better ones soon.

Nice Jon. A bit sportier than the ACs. So you are saying the 5x120 will bolt right onto the 5x114.3? Interesting tidbit to know. And going for those crazy offsets again. I would not expectr anything less from you.

Yep they bolt right on, but you will need hubcentric rings to perfectly center the wheels. What's amazing is how light these wheels are compared to my ACs. My steering wheel doesn't feel like a truck anymore, the car feels lighter in general and in fact, I was continuously monitoring my mpg sensor all the way home and I could safely say that I gained 20% better mpg than with the old wheels! But this could be because of the HKS RS intake....but in any case, I definitely welcomed the savings!!!

Couldn't be happier!

I always loved those Dronnels when they were RI-GS's car. Love the lips. To top it off you can see your DSR BBK kit now. What did you have to do to get them to fit? Redrill the bolt pattern? Those offsets look nice too they dont stick out like a 4x4 maybe cuz your camber I like them better than your AC and there 20" too

Very Very nice my friend. I have always loved those wheels. To be 100% honest, I almost purchased the 20" chrome versions of these wheels from my buddy James (RI-GS4), but then I decided to go iFORGED. But these wheels helped me choose the Techniks. Everything about the setup is banana's, rare wheel, ridiculous offsets, and that ever elusive "stretch" thats so popular these days. I have give propers where they are due man, the finish and design of those wheels are simply perfect. An excellent evolution from the Magnifiques.

Dont worry about the stretch, we approve!! (well at least I do).

WOW !! nothing more to say but i'll try anyway

just amazeing, the wheel, the finish, the size, the offsets, the exclusiveness of the brand, the fact we can now see your BBK, and the full stretch like we are acustomed to seeing from v.i.p.'ers. man its all just perfect imo. big congrats on a great move and when u finally get your air suspension and slamm it for pics and shows man it will be the sight to b held..congrats again
