Default OEM 16's compared to OEM 17's

I might be buying some OEM 17 chrome Lexus wheels, I wanted to know what is the height difference between the OEM 16 with tires comapared to the OEM 17 with tires. The crome Lexus wheels came off of a 2002 GS430, they also have brand new Toyo's on them. Will the 17 inch wheels be about the same overall height or would they be taller?

It depends on the tires used. The current specs calls for 16s using 225/55 which gives you a diameter of 25.7, and 17s using 235/45 which gives a 25.3 diameter. I know on the 98s, though, the 16s used 215/60 which would give you a diameter of 26.2.

Going by this and assuming you use the OEM sizes, the 17s will be "shorter".
