Question A lot of vibrations at 55-60 MPH.

I just got my car alligned and i thought it would solve the vibration problem but it is still there. Is it possible that the vibrations are caused by my wheels needing to be balanced again? Any suggestions would be appriciated.

maybe that or one of your rims are bent? maybe you need new tires? there are a few possibilities that come to mind. but you are on the right track.

When you have your wheels balanced you may want to have them ROADFORCE balanced..

I agree. With high performance low profile tires this is almost a must.

Next time your SC is the shop for maintenance, have the tech check the bead seals on the inside of the rim. I have factory chromes and one of the wheels has a bad bead seal whcih is causing the tire to deflate slowly and makes my ride a little rough at 65+mph even with the tire fully inflated.

bezeeduzit : Here's one - Next time your car is on jacks, try turning the wheel with the wheels off the ground. I had the same problem and it turned out that one of the brake calipers were stuck in the brake position. Essentially, it was as if one of the front wheels had the brakes on while driving causing the vibration.

I had same vibration problem when the speed is above 55 m/h. I had the car checked by a mechanic and it turned out a bad front tire because of the alignment problem. I had the tire changed and the problem went away. I also had the alignment job done on the car three weeks later.
