Thumbs up Black, polished, or Silver?????

Ok, lets start off with a little background. I have already ordered my wheels. They are already on their way to my house so either way there is no going back. I have a Black GS4. after long, drawn out thought, i decided to go with a black face/ polished lip combo. The midnight look (thats the code name for the project). so i ordered them and am awaiting their arrival. But while looking around, i saw a Black GS (tturbopimp) with polished HRE 540R. IT LOOKS AMAZING!!! my next dilema is silver. I never thought silver looked good on a black car until i saw Junctions car. Those are Uber tight. so my question to you guys is: which look would be best for a black car? More specifically MY black car. Black, Polished, or Silver. I cant decide....

well if its named "project midnight" than i would do blk face. but chrome with polished lips would b so hot and as far as silver u mean brushed alluminum silver not plain silver? JP has brushed alluminum face which i think looks crazy against blk, in a good way. tough decision but i say blk cuz of what u project is named...

I think that either the black with polished lips or silver with polished lips would be hottest.

My vote - stick with black on black

But you did not tell us any details.....what size? Staggered? Are they "lippy"?

Silver with polished lips
Personally, I never cared for black face wheels.

Well they are 20x8.5 (+39offset) and 20x9.5 (+47 offset). They are set up for a BBU in mind. I wont say wich ones just yet, even though there are some GS's rolling around with them, just not in 20". From what im told by the dealer is that they are relativley lippy. What that means... who knows, but we shall soon find out!

Black on black looks great, but I actually prefer a little more contrast...depending on the style of wheel and what look you are trying to achieve, I say go with with all polished or, IMO, a little meaner look with the brushed/polished lip combo.

BTW, I am by no means an offset expert, but if you are going with a 9.5" rear, couldn't you go with a little more agressive offset and possibly gain some more lip? I am thinking that a +47 would be more appropriate for a 10" rear...anyone?

Good luck on your project, bro...post some pics soon!

yeah a 20x10 with a +47 offset would work out good but it might be a 2pc wheel that only comes in 8.5,9.5, and 10.5 that could be his reason for going with a 9.5

I vote black on black, but only if the "circle" will be completed. I find the black on black to be a little lacking on its own, it needs a aggresive lowering ad full aero with exhaust to bring it all together. Just my .02, good luck.

monochrome sounds like something out of the 80's. I mean if thats what you like then fine but maybe you should see some miami vice episodes and make sure because youre going to have to live with it. at first when it was new I thought the monochrome AMG look from that era was hot. but like mullets and leg warmers and bon jovi it has a short shelf life. again if you like it nothing else matters but remember its something youre going to have to live with.

yup, they only make them in 20x9.5 and then jumps to 20x10.5 so my options were limited. as for everything else, its all going to take place just about at the same time. The Full Coilovers were ordered at the same time the wheels were, but are not goin to be installed untill the wheels come. I havent made a 100% decision on my Body kit, but im about 95% decided between two kits. The exhaust, im also trying to decide. Its tough when there are so many choices, but i think itll look good when its completed.
