Default gs300 wheel fitment question

my brother has a set of wheels still in the box laying around for his now sold 180sx project car...and he offered them to me.....18x8.5 and 18x9.5 +35 i read the faq and noticed that 35 offset was listed under pro.....but that was for 18x9 and 18x10....will these fit on my car without major modifications????? thanks

It's right on the edge +37 to +45 is better. Not sure if those will fit.

the front might rub slightly, the rear i think you need to shave the fender

i am with brandon, if you want absolutely fit with no mod at all, staying higher than 37

i was afriad of that......even if the wheels are free i dunno if it would be worth all the trouble to make them fit
whats funny is the wheels are manaray sports....and they have pictures of a aristo with thier wheels on it.... they only make 45 and 35 offset...and 45 doesnt fit

Why wouldn't 45 fit? It woudn't be as flushed with the fender but it should fit. The L-Tuned OZ Salinas I have are 18x8f and 18x9.5 rear, both with 45 offsets.

If you like the wheels and they are free, it might be worth it to pay someone to mod the fenders (if you won't wnat the hassle). It would cost less than getting new wheels.

But if you are not crazy about the wheels and don't want to mod up the fenders, then wait for a better fitting set.

8.5 and 9.5 +45 i think they would fit?

anyway, those aristo in japan, they a lot of times have quite some fender mod, so i am not surprised if they use 35. it's actually nothing compared to some of the aristos i see. the work involved for 35 isn't that much, i consider it a little workout only

i figured 45 would fit....but i think manaray's offsets are jacked....their 45's do not fit on the GS, my friend had bought a set the same time my brother did and the front fit fine... the rear was touching the brakes...maybe ill goto a tire shop and get them "test fitted"

I got +35 up front on my 19x8.5.....and they fit. It's barely flush with the fender.....i say +30 if you want it flush.

As for the rear....I got +40 with 19x9.5....its just within the fenders without shaving. I think if it was +35, I would be rubbing a bit.

Hope that helps.

That is surprising. Do the wheel design cause the spokes to curve inwards or something? Do you have pics of the wheel? Sorry, pressed for time to search and I can't remember what they look like. My 18x9.5, +45 offset fits fine with plenty of space for the calipers.
