There's a photo of a white GS with a toyota grill emblem and a Quest decal with some wheels I've never seen before. The photo is near the end of the GS Gallery with a picture number of 0101102 and it was submitted on 3/7/01.
Who makes those wheels? They look really big .... I wonder if you have to put low profile tires on them? Excuse me, I'm new and don't know jack about wheels/tires.

The wheels are by Rays...called the Victrix Brainer...the rims come in 18" only...here's the site...

They look large because they have a lot of surface are...plus the car is slammed...
Personally, I like the design but it's pretty much a knock-off (though not exact, the center on the original, MAE, is covered). Here is the link to MAE Germany...

Personally, I don't like crossbranding (putting Mercedes or BMW tuner rims on a Lexus...) Anyways, I think the Ray's Genome Drilled is different enough to not be considered a knock-off but rather an "inspired" design...of course, that's debatable!

Yeah...that angle is VERY deceptive. If you dump the car and put it at the right angle, with the wheel turned the right way, they look large. If you see a side photo of the car, you'll see they're not that large. Plus that style rim looks larger due to the increased surface area over a "spoked" wheel...
As you can see on Ray's website, they only make a 18" version.
On one of my previous cars I had 18's and at the same angle, it looked like a 19" easy...

That Ray's website looks like it's in Japanese or something. Anyone know where to inquire about these wheels in the US? (east coast). Any idea how much those wheels cost? Can you mount all season tires on them or do they have to be low profile?
You guys are awesome. I appreciate all your help.

victrix brainer wheels 18*8F,9R
you need 245/40/18front, 275/35/18 rear tyres, def low profiles, the gs is NOT an suv.
with discount, the ideal price ~$2500-$2700, wheels only. for stores, try these:
www.mackinindustries.com, they are official volk wheels importer, there is a lsit if local distributors.try to call every one on the list, my experience told the price vary widely.
www.gtautosports.com
or perhaps someone has connections to good deals.
