Default Best Pads for a 90 LS400

The previous owner of the above was always unhappy with OEM pads as he said they always squealed. He recommended Raybestos anti-squeal pads.Anybody out there have any advice for me on this subject?.Thanks to all!

stay far, far, far away from Raybestos, unless you like warped rotors. I would use PBR or Axxis.

Default Gee Whiz!

Why would Raybestos warp the rotors? And whatever brand pads are used should they be metallic,semi-metallic,etc.I know the 1st Generation LS400's have weak brake systems and i'm not hard on brakes at all.So anybody have further advise on the subject? TIA!

i had Raybestos on my LS400, they squealed like a ****. I also had Raybestos on my mom's van, they WARPED new OEM Ford rotors, so i chucked them in favor of Akebono pads that came stock, no problems since. I'm quite happy with my OEM pads, but i''m thinking about using PBR next time. Raybestos has too much metal content in their NAO pads, so more noise or warped rotors.
