Default SSR GT1 on GS400 Question?

Any reason the SSR GT1 only comes in limited 17in and 18 in sizes. I like the Wheel appearance better than the SSR GT3, but biggest wheel is currently 18X8. I thought I saw them 2 years ago in 19 inches? I am pretty sure I saw them on an NSX.

SSR GT3 is a nice wheel, just a little cluttered with all the bolts.

Just a suggestion...if money isn't a big deal (if that's ever possible ) ...how about the 840 series by HRE, they have hidden bolts instead of normal bolts for 3 piece wheels.

SSR GT1 was designed a while back. Before all the cars got so damn big, you have to put 20s on em to make em look right. Well, also, tires did not come in all the sizes they do now. So that is why only 17 and 18. It is also very light, so the bigger it gets the heavier.

gsnav makes a great suggestion.

Default GT1

The GT1 was never made in anything larger then 18 inch. For 19 and 20 inch sizes the GT3 takes over where the GT1 leaves off.

So the GT3s are available in 20s now?

Brandon

From what I can see on your site the SSR GT1 18 only comes in width of 8? I assume that means nothing in the 35 series tires will work. Its not the diameter that's a design issue its that I can't get fat on and 8 inch width?

I actuall don't mind the 18, its the width that would seem to force me to the SSR GT3. I do want to run big and fat on the back.

I saw the SSR GT1 on an NSX over a year ago and they were very good looking. I don't remember what tires they were running.

Rick.

Yes, but not for GS.

Unfortunately, there is no longer an 18 inch rear for GS in the GT1 either.

Edit: By 18 inch rear I meant 18 x 9 inch for the rear or a wider rear then front size. Sorry if this was unclear.

well ok, just to clarify, if you put 18x9 +38 in the front, it will fit, you might have slight rub at the outside edge. very aggressive setup. 18x9 +38 for the rear is very conservative

OK. I thought you meant the rear and that confused me.
