Default r these offsets possible a gs?

i am reading a hyper rev magazine my buddy let me borrow and as i'm going through it i run across this gs slammed on some wheels that look like gettins but he has the biggest lips i've ever seen front and rear, problem is i can't read the language but the numbers r 19x9.5front with +15 i think its the offset they r talking about right? and the rear says 19x10 +10, if i'm seeing this right it looks like a +15 offset in the front and a +10 in the rear, thats crazy....hyper rev 69 page 72 if anyone has it....

guys..many car guys in japan are very very hardcore...not in a bad way. ..often they roll/trim fenders to make the car looked mighty aggressive..ie, fit 11" in the rear wheel of an aristo to get massive lips..many times even undersized tyres for that "stretched" look

you can go into many shops and get 225/245 tyres on 9+10 as a pkg, and the shop owners would not question your creativity

I love it... another reason for the stretched tire... they are running a 245 on a 10" wide rear wheel. They are able to lower the car with the tires tucking and the rims flushed with the fenders.

for those who don't have a Hyper Rev book.. I scanned the page

and here is a closer pic of the car.

you didn't read it wrong, adrain. but do you wanna run that on your car, nop i will give you my two cents (i know someone won't agree with me, haha)

those jap mags, yes they look very nice, but do you know for sure that you can drive those cars? most of them you can't drive them at all, coz' the wheels are so stuck and it rubs like hell. a lot of times they trim the heck out of the fender, and at the same time they adjust the camber to very negative so it doesn't hit. but drive like that and you are killing the tires and the car

the other day i helped my friend to put 8.5 +13 for the rear of his GS (that's same as 10 +31) and he had such a bad time on rubbing already, it's not even pretty. so you can imagine what it's like if you put offset like 10 +10 in the back and drive daily

Heheheh I drive my 19x10 +24 everyday and have not rubbed at all, so I don't know why it's such a big deal over there in the US....

Although your offset is very aggressive, its not a 10, that is 14mm further out than yours. That car appears to have about -3.5 to -5 camber settings in the rear, which would eat tires pretty quick.

I think these JDM VIP cars serve their purpose, they look amazing in pics! That cars looks really awesome, but you would have to accept lots of concessions to drive that kind of setup daily.

I guess Junciton could share more input on daily driving a setup like that (and its side effects).

D, you are right. I saw my mechanic drove off with the car earlier this week and it does look a lil odd with the neg. camber in the back. It's nothing like a -3 but it already looks pretty odd....ahh, the price one pays......
