Default Sears tire services

It was that time to get the Toyos in the ES rotated (once every mid-fall and mid-spring season), but also an alignment since it had been slightly pulling to the right on the roads. Decided to give the local Sears a try tonight (they're usually open till 9PM, and the mall is right there to linger around) Rotation and alignment totaled $72 for 2 hrs work, which is not bad.

The guy who diagnosed the tires was pretty knowledgeable and answered the right questions for me. Sears was using a Hunter DSP alignment machine, which is pretty accurate and up-to-date. The data sheet below proves my finding of the car pulling to the right. Now no more worries about any alignment or handling whack in the future

Anyone have any experiences using Sears for general tire services?

Default rgr.

I always trust sears for wheel alignments. Very professional, and very polite to their customers... plus a full four wheel alignment is only 89.99. (My car is considered a "difficult" alignment)

Teh only reason why I dont use them for all my automotive servicing is that their company policy does not allow customer supplied parts, regardless of what it is. They wouldnt even replace a sidemarker light for me when I brought the bulbs in.

Exclamation

I've worked for Sears Canada for 8 years now (Information Technology, not the auto center). We have discontinued offering auto service in all our stores north of the border & are "out sourcing". I'm personally not a huge fan of getting my car serviced there even with my 25% discount! lol I've heard really bad stories regarding ripping off customers from Sears stores in Canada. I would assume things are better in the U.S. I have a regular mechanic with all the special equipment & a reliable back up should I need one.......very picky about whom I let service or even touch my car.
