Default Dreaming of HRE 546 98 GS400

Thinking of buying HRE 546 that are used. The wheels all 4 are 18" x 9.5" +31 offset, 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 60.1mm centerbore. My car is completely stock. Any issues I should be considered with rubbing extra stress..etc. I am a newbie and need whatever help I could get. Thanks in nadvance. Oh...what tire size should I be getting.

ya know, it might help if you tell folks what car you are talking about.

I would suggest doing a search as your questions are vague as ever. That way you know what you mean/want. check the sticky up top by RominL

If you are talking about the set that srcada is selling, they are actually 18 x 9 which helps. 9.5 in front would have been somewhat problematic. +31 offset is pretty aggressive for the fronts and you may need to do some fender modding. Since you are completely stock and not lowered, you might be OK (until you lower it).

The rear will probably be OK but I can't guarantee the front. srcada has had that set for sale for awhile. If it was not for the fact that I've decided to go larger than 18s, it is not the R series, and the iffy fronts, I would have bought this too. He says that the wheels came from a GS so maybe you can find out who the previous owner is and contact that person to see if there were any issues.

As a side note..

I was dreaming of the 546 for awhile also, but ultimately decided on something a bit more cost effective with a high quality.

I-Forged Flux.
