Default Unnerving screech

I was driving my car today about to park it and i heard the loudest bat out of hell scream coming from my rear. The noise seemed to resonate. It only comes on when im on the brakes. I have about 5k miles on these oem pads and have hardly seen any wear at all. It sounds like metal grinding on metal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like metal on metal??? Man that's a weird sound to have coming from your rear!!! On a serious note, I have no idea what the problem may be. It's just 3 in the morning and I'm tired.

They could be the metal clip that indicates the pads are worn. Although the pads aren't worn, the clip may be bent.
