ES300 Wheel Recommendations
Hi all,
I would like to get opinions on some wheels that I'm looking into. I recently blew one of my tires in a craterhole and it turns out that it also bent my wheel. The dealership wants around 700 for a wheel, tire and install. So now, I'm think..what the heck, was thinking about gettting wheels anyway, just suck it up now and go for it now.
Anyway, I really like the new SC wheels and how it looks on the ES, point of reference was what frankwhite, a fellow CLer, has on his, I believe. Is there any other wheels that has the same look and feel? Most of the ones I've seen all has that open spokey look and I like more of the closed look. Is there a reason why the closed look is not as popular? I don't want a solid slab of metal =), something very simple and clean. I'm think about 18", best compromise from reading around here for ride quality, stability, craterhole protection...
Thanks all.

Out of all the ones you've posted I'm diggin' the ASA's. I really like how the hard-edge design looks...looks clean! that's my 2 cents!

Sicklex,
Thanks for the link, i can't believe i missed this during my hunting. My ES is a 2000. If you check out what I posted on the picture thread, I am seriously, seriously liking the black wheels. Although they might be too crazy on what I want my ES to look like. The movens and the one I don't know about without the center cap is growing on me, especially no cap =)
Sieze, I agree with you, the ASA's do look nice. At first the rivets all around the side threw me, but its definitely growing on me.
I found a few more...but check this out.....during my search I found these off a Korean site...called Shuk Concept W23...
Look closely...in fact..you don't have to look closely...do they resemble something?!? All they did was change the center cap. Is this normal? meaning...one manufacture..many distributors that stick their name on it? who is the original?
