well there is no reason why you can NOT do that, though 8.5 would be more ideal

just make sure offset is right

on 8", 235 is good

whats .5 of an inch? hehe.

and the offset is in the 40s for sure.. so i should be ok right?

I wouldve gotten the 8.5 but this was a deal of a lifetime.

4 volk racing SF winning (19x8) and 4 tires for $900USD!!!

no way of putting 245s on these wheels?

That is quite a deal. I'm going to be putting 245s on my 18x8. 235 is the safe size but 245 has been done too. I'm taking a calculated risk that things will be fine and have my reasons to believe it should be fine. It is your call on your wheels though.

.5 inch doesn't seem like a lot of when on the car i'm sure it shows it...

unless you keep on lowering the offset to stick the wheel out. basically when the wheels are on the car, every mm counts. trust me even 3mm could be noticeable on the the car

and neo, 245 on 8 is fine

thanks guys.. so just to confirm... a 245/35or40/19 tire should be totally ok on a 19x8 rim correct..?

The tire is not gonna come off the wheel when making a hard turn will it? thats my major concern.. =)

for a similar gs400 with 1.5" drop ( bilstein springs/stock shocks) and 19x8.5 with 245/35/19 on all 4 corners, do you need any spacer ? thx.

Depends on how agressive your offset is. The tire size is the pretty standard for a 19x8.5. You probably won't need spacers except for the case where you want to push out the wheels a little in the back for a more agressive look. But again, this all starts with what the offset of the wheels are in first place.

this question doens't relaly do much with this thread, you are better off making another one i think

but to answer your question, if you have 8.5 at 4 corners that fit well and no rubbing, that means the wheels in the back will be more inset (suck in) compared to the front. that's why i always prefer staggered setup. if you want to look better, put spacers in the back. but spacers are never good for handling
