Tires for New GS 430?
I am new to the forum as I have been driving Jaguar S-types for the past 4 years. Before that, I drove a '98 GS 300. Now that I have come back to my senses, I will pick up my new GS 430 on Thursday and would like to know if the Potenza RE030 tires are any good - hear they wear fast and are noisy. I live in Tucson, AZ, but occasionally drive in winter snow in the mtns. I am thinking of Michelin Pilot Sport AS, Potenza RE950, Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S, or Continental ContiExtremeContact. all are in the 235/45/17 size.
Any advice is appreciated.

Well, I like the Potenza Pole Position S-03s; quieter by far than the RE030s, much less tramlining, appear to be wearing better, but I never considered A/S tires due to my alternate transportation (see sig).
I don't know that I'd get too attached to driving the GS in the snow though, even with A/S tires. Wide, low profile tires plus open differential is a good recipe for stuffing it.............................

You can't go wrong with any of those choices. The best is the Michelin though. The S03 are not all season so I would not recommend them unless you have winter tires.
