Default Ordered on ebay and it was sent from Amazon

Amazon was $80+ for this and I found a "used like new" one on ebay so I purchased it. It showed up in an Amazon box with a packing slip from Amazon. The one I received is red, new and a different model. Is it common to order on ebay and have the order changed and fulfilled by Amazon? This is new to me.

Seller has 100% feedback from 40 buyers and I am fine with what I received.

This is what I received,

Seems a little odd. I would call Amazon customer service if I were to ask them.

Did they charge you more or less than they were supposed to?

Have heard similar with vendors that also have a presence on other online shopping networks. There was one item that was ordered from a tech company that was shipped-processed by Newegg. Wasn't aware that this may also translate with some Amazon stores but makes sense. May check to see if they also have a storefront on Amazon. Then they may also indicate sold by and fulfilled by Amazon.

I was charged the $55 I agreed to. I sent an email to the seller that no problem with what I received and just curious why the model and shipper changed. No reply yet.

I would say if the charge was correct and the item is what you wanted then no harm no foul lol.

I had this happen before with ebay and SamsClub. I ordered something for my dad, and the receipt he got was a payment to SamsClub (they carry the same item online ((not in store))). We got what we wanted for the price we wanted, but it was kinda odd that the seller wasn't SamsClub on ebay, and it turned out like that.

I read something a couple of weeks ago about eBay suing Amazon for poaching customers. I wonder if this is an example?

This happens a lot. That's why I cross check ebay and Amazon.

I bought a wall mount tire rack from an ebay seller and received it from Amazon. I then realized Amazon had it for cheaper.

The sellers don't stock the item and list it at the same or higher price. Once you buy-it then they buy it from Amazon and send to your address.
