I don't know what triggered it but Martin Lawrence in Big Mama's House (2000) came to mind. My next thought is I wonder how the food trays would work in this configuration? But since they will be economizing, food has already been done away with.

They've already started cutting out meal service in First Class (example: no meals on flights departing between 1:31 and 4pm, unless they're over 1300 miles/3.5 hours), do you honestly think it's ever coming back to coach? Regardless of this potential configuration change, the "food tray" is an extinct species in the standard cabin.

There will be a food trough full of those tiny pretzels and peanuts.

when we're 'put under' for flights in the future there will be intravenous feeding (if you pay for it).

at check-in:

agent: "would you like a kale smoothie injected during the flight sir?"

"No thanks, I'll just have my warm cup of hemlock now, please."

I think we all have sat on a plane with someone 3 times your size.... Man, these might be ok for that aspect...

but, where to sit, before no one would be looking right at you, now if your in the center seat, 2 people are watching you every moment...
