I'm old school. I have no interest in anything new. I dig all the 80's and 90's metal. I do however love grip.

Tool is Progressive. Not Metal.

As I lay Dying is like that metal core stuff. Killswitch Engage, All that Remains kinda metal.

Put those guys in a room with Gorgoroth, they'd be calling mommy to come get em.

Progressive Metal would be like Opeth, or Katatonia.

Gorgoroth is a band? Sounds like something from Lord of the Rings, lol.

I always figured that Tool was metal, their music is pretty hard though.

I haven't even heard of most of the bands listed here.

Metallica is classic though.

Tool, is not hard. Tool is very well thought out, music theorized, Prog. If Tool is heavy to you. You do not hear what we hear.

Read up about Gorgoroth and Gaahl, there are some interviews on youtube.

Metallica was metal...Back in 85'. I think when Load came out...I just shook my head and threw Master of Puppets in the player. Like one would look at a photo album to remember a loved one that died.
