So I have a 2014 GS350 that is currently having a really nice stereo system in. Motorized amp racks, tons of stuff. So, I am a little worried on weight, while it it is still in sub mock mode, but getting towards the end of the mock, I may need to obtain some coil overs to dial in the suspension and ride height. While I am not opposed to being lower, I would prefer it to be capped at 1". Some of the roads I drive on are more towards the rural side. My main question is, it seems a lot of people like BC Coil overs, I am just worried that the weight of the stereo is going to have a worse effect on coil overs than it is with my stock strut/springs(not worn out, very responsive at 40,000 miles).
Toss out some options, I know there is Tein, but I am not really into green and I heard the BCs are better, I love the Megan blue, but same thing performance wise vs the BC's. Running 19 offset Targa M129s front and back.
Coilovers will def help you dial in the right height, but you may want to consider getting a stiffer spring rate in the rear. I had a 4Runner with a heavy amprack in the rear, raised floor, plexi, 3 amps, xovers, etc, probably ~200lbs, and the suspension kept settling over the years until the axle was resting on the bumpstops. Just a thought.
