BC BR Coilovers VS RSR Sport-i Coilovers

Hey guys,

just wanted to post some reviews of the 2 different coilovers as I've just now got to use both of these and there is a big difference. The BR's are nice for the price but they just didn't do it for me so I bought these RSR's that were for sale specifically for my 2010 hybrid that Mike (Lexfather) ordered from Japan and they are DOPE! yeah the cost difference is pretty big but worth it for me.

The RSR's are so much more comfortable but still handle better then the BR's. You can tell in the pics that the springs are longer then the BR's so I'm sure that makes a big difference as well as a larger rubber "washer" right between the spring and top hat. I did not go with the Swift spring upgrade so that should make a big difference too. I'm not a racer/track guy but have had coilovers pretty much with all my cars (I'm 42 btw) and these are one of the best I've felt.

Hope this may help someone or not. Just posting a short review.

nice review

is the spring longer only because the collar on the RSR is not raised as high as the BCRs? Also i bet that rubber washer between the strut mount and top of spring would take care of the BCR clunk noise

Nice review. I have a 2006 Lexus GS430 and I've been trying to decide which coilovers to go with. I'm strongly leaning towards the bc br racing coilovers and I'm just like you i'm not a racer or track guy, but just for my daily driver. I want upgraded performance with handling in the car but I dont want too much of an uncomfortable ride.

At the least I would do the swift spring upgrade and that should help a lot with comfort. It's cheaper if you buy them upfront. Good luck

what's the retail on the C/O?

Op, I don't see these listed on RSR line up for 3rd gen Gs, I understand that 2is share the same suspension components but just wanna make sure that RSR has an application for our cars.

The RS-R are in fact a great coilover. Hands down. Whether you are using them for track applications or just a daily driver, they will suite both needs.

The GS and IS are the same coilover application for RS-R as well.

Normal price on these is $1799
Our cost is MUCH MUCH MUCH LOWER
