Is this really true as far as the upper control arms go? I was debating on getting the SPC ball joint camber kit but looks to be a pain not only to install but adjust if needed. I think with an upper control arm it would be much easier to adjust. I'm looking for confirmation that it would fit so I don't end up loosing $ if it doesn't work. Im trying to gain + camber not -.

Everyone is claiming **** but no one is confirming and all I see is Masboy trying to sell his. I mean if you have 1400$ you can always get T demand arms... as if!

I've heard of people cutting about an inch off the spindle arm, effectively lowering the upper control arm angle. This will also change your camber so an adjustable arm might still be needed. I was going to have this done, but my car is a daily driver and I can't be without my spindles for that long. I also thought about buying an extra set and getting them modified. Kinda scary thinking about cutting such an important part of your suspension and hoping the weld+brace is strong enough afterwards, but people have done it with no issues.

Per Megan racings site the once IS250/350 Front upper camber arm now includes the 3rd Gen GS in the application description http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...=1509&catid=91

You will brake or pop the ball joint out of the control arm cutting and rewelding the spindle back together is not safe at all. Have buddy with a 2gen GS who live in AZ and the car lays out on the body required a ton of modding includling custom upper control arms.

Can you link me to someone who had an accident or had a ballpoint "pop out" of the control arm from doing that?

Serialnine sells cut/welded spindles for the 2g. I've never heard of them having issues or failures from their products.

People have been doing it for years with no issues on other cars and mini trucks. Modified knuckles and spindles aren't something new. I've even seen people on CL who have done it and had no issues. It's also pretty common in drifting. Hell, I've ran modified spindles on 2 different offroad trucks that were used and abused...also with no issues.

It sounds risky to people who have no experience doing it, but the people who have actually done it don't seem to have any issues with it.
