Default rear tire wearing out after lowering?

hello everyone!
have anyone here had any issue with rear tire wearing out evenly but faster than the front wheel after lowering your car with tannabe springs? I have a 2013 gs350 f sport AWD. I put new wheels and tires in may and by sept the back was wore out evenly. it look like I had slick tires at the back and regular in the front. I only put 4500 kilometers during this period. I'm not a racer driver. i'm more of cruising driver. we also did a wheel alignment and we are in the range of the lexus parameter.

I need help to solve this issue. lexus have no idea why this happen. I can't afford to buy new set of tires every summer. my car is put away for winter but I want to solve this before next spring.

thank you for any reply to this thread.

Can you post a picture of your car and a scan of the alignment results?

What brand are those tires? And how many miles did you get out of those rear tires?
I have over 3K on my Vred Vortis and they look great (only 4 months old).

I wonder if this is this an AWD issue ? Since, the OP is from Calgary and the second poster with this problem is from ( MN ) Minnesota, I assume?

I don't remember seeing any posts from RWD guys with this issue.

What are your tire specs ?

Living in California I often forget about AWD! I have RWD and am running 275/30/20's rear, with a nice added camber from the lowering.

Interesting ... You're car doesn't even look that low. I saw slight evidence of camber wear, but other than that the tire wore pretty evenly. If the alignment really is within spec, I'd start by trying a different tire make and/or model.

Are the wear ratings on the two tire sizes the same? I know that Michelin has different wear ratings for the same tire size sometimes.

I'm thinking maybe the incorrect tire spec is triggering the AWD system to spin the rear tires more? But I could be wrong...

Its not good to have different size tires on an AWD. its going to put a lot of stress on the drive train especially when your turning. I agree with SNiiP3R most likely the tire wear is the result of the incorrect tire size.

Sorry, I did not see your post. It seems that you have the correct specs for AWD, so you can ignore my previous post.

This is a really strange problem you're having. Normally lowering the car does not cause such excessive wear. With good alignment you should easily get 15,000 mi / 24,000 kl out of your tires. So, lowering is not an issue.

Question, have you checked the air pressure? An overinflated tire can sometimes wear out like that.
