Default Finally got her lowered but suffering from squeaks and chirps!!

I finally got the chance to lower my gs430 on Tanabe Sustec Pro 5s. The car sits nice but I hear a lot of chirping noise from the front of the car and what do I do with the AVS?

What can this chirping noise be?!!

What is your spec on the wheels and tires?

fender shaved or roll all four?

For AVS. This is what you need to do.

AVS

An honest question.

While your car and many others looks amazing with big wheels and a drop, how do you guys drive them on real roads? I would go for the Vossen setup myself, but I know for a fact that the will be ruined within a week here in NYC. And I dont want to be avoiding every bump on the road. That is not why I bought th car. I find my GS430 being stiff enough. I can only imagine how the ride is with bigger tire and a drop.

The ride is pretty comfortable, it's definitely not unbearable or anything. We live in CA where the roads are decent except for places like LA. I never lived or been to NYC so I can't tell what you're dealing with but just gotta drive a bit slower and more carefully.

Looking good OP!

He's asking for AVS which is adaptive variable suspension, and AFS is adaptive front lighting indicator. I think you lose the function of AVS once you change the OEM shocks. I'm not too sure if you can still get AVS back but ask other GS430 or GS460, GS450h owners.

Honestly.. I do not know the specs on my wheels.. haha

The front fenders are rolled and the rears are shaved.

I got the AVS removed.

The ride on the Tanabe Sustec Pro 5 are close to stock for me and I get a little rubbing in the front here and there but no rubbing in the back even with 2 people in the backseat.

that is correct - once you swap in coilovers, you lose the AVS functionality (as they only work with stock shocks).

You do realise that every new model of vehcile released through out the recent years, and most probably throughout the next few years, will sit on lower profile wheels don't you?

The 1st generation GS cars came with what? 16" Then 2nd Gen upped it to 17, then 18.

What are you gonna do? Stop buying these cars? Wait for the Mayor of NY to finally sort out the road issues? I don't know really.

People gave me crap for riding on 20's, guess what? New BMW's now offer 20's OEM!!!

I upgraded to 19's on my GSW, now the new models come in 19" from factroy! Especially the F sport ones.

My sisters 135 Sport BMW had 19's I think, run flats, and every other month or so she would have a blow out, and she is a good driver.

I just cannt imagine having a lowered car here in NYC. Car takes a beating as it is, even on some highways. I guess its just me, i take functionality over style most of the times. Now if the car was a weekend toy, then sky is the limit.
