Default Coilover susgestion 06+ GS300

I'm looking for a set of coilover for my 06 GS300, what do you guys consider the best of them in ride quality, adjustment and reliability. I would like to keep the same quality ride that the Gs is known for, I just want to bring the Fender to the tire for the ultimate look, without sacrifice ride quality. what spring rate should I get if available in order to achive what I just mentioned? all your help is highly appreciated. I don't want to make a mistake on my purchase. I have heard about people having weird bump noises once coilover are installed, I don't want nor need any headaches. I have some 20" wheels now and all I need is to lower the car to acquire a better look.

Tein CST, Tanabe pro 5, or JIC Magic. I did the Tein CST because they are hailed by most as the best. They are monotube so they are going to be more expensive than the twin tube Tanabe, but you get what you pay for.

Thank you I8ABMR. I understand what you mean by you get what you pay for, I don't mind to pay more at all, if I get exactly what I'm looking for and I don't mind to pay more if I get what I was told I was going to get.

What can I expect to pay for the Tein's? Who's got the best deal. I almost buy the BC coilovers. What do you think about them?

I don't think we now too much about the BC coilovers for the 3GS to give reviews on it. What made you hesitate on them?

If money isnt a thing then definitely get the JIC's. JIC's are by far one of the best coilovers you can get for the 3GS. Tein CST would be a cheaper alternative but doesnt have the range of adjustability like the JIC's.

How about the HKS Hypermax III CLX coilovers ? Real expensive but well worth it...

Here is a good comparison of mono-tube vs. twin-tube

I would definitely go with a different coilover than what's mentioned here if you want a bit more quality and a better ride.

BC Racing coilovers are a step above whats mentioned here for just a bit more. Compared to Megans or D2's they have better valving, better internals, bigger shock bodies, locking lower rings and a higher construction quality. For the price BC Racing coilovers can't be beat.

Teins tend to be a bit harsher then others.

If you have even more to spend you could go with KW's , which have a really smooth ride and good bump control.

Or you go go in the middle and get the HKS's, which are going to be firmer than the KW's , and the CS model is more tuned for comfrot than the Hipermax III's.

Fell free to PM us with any questions on these or for prices.

I went with the Tein CST for my 350 and really am loving them.

I also think the BC's would be a great coilover.

There is no point in spending more than 2K on coilovers for the GS.....otherwise just get air
