I actually am lowered on NF210's and have 19" on all 4's. I also run stock 17's in winter, but still lowered.

I have stock springs with 19" rays, however I noticed the vibrations before changing wheels, I'm not sure if these are the vibrations that are occurring with aftermarket springs or are people just noticing it after they replace springs.

Panning on going with either Tanabe NF210 or Eibach Kit.

Correct. I have everything stock w/exception of 18" wheels off '06 GS430 w/factory Dunlop Run Flat tires. The vibration started for me after I took the car to a dealer for the courtesy 30-days check-up. I noticed the vibration while in Drive waiting at traffic lights. Lexus dealership said the new engines they began using in '06 models is different than previous "smooth as butter" engines I was accustomed while riding in older model GS & ES owned by friends of mine. I was told the vibration is a by-product of how the engine breaks in after the first couple of 1000 miles & that it was normal. Simply put, it is rough idle. Has nothing to do with suspension modifications, but perhaps the new springs or coilovers (geometry) magnifies the vibration, making it more noticeable.

Again, I noticed the rough idle year round (in VA/Wash DC area), but it the rough idle is less noticeable when I have the AC/Heat turned on or when in Auto mode. Apparently the load of heater or compressor for AC effects the load on the engine & transmission. When the AC is not on, the vibration is much more noticeable.

Sorry for the long note.

By the way, thanks to Nardeezy for pulling together this one-stop list. I decided to keep my '06 GS (lease expired mid-February), so I intend to lower my GS this summer...maintaining the factory '18 wheels for now. When the run flats wear out, I'll switch to conventional tires.

Question For All On This Thread. Last week I started noticing intermittent rough idle or shuttering of the car after breaking hard in stop & go traffic. As if the car is about to stall & cut off, but it doesn't. Only experienced it once this week, but several times last week during rush hour when I had to aggressive apply the brakes to avoid rear-ending someone. Got just 28,500 miles (yeah, I know low miles for '06).

Also, did anyone receive the Service Notices in the mail? I got three of them today to replace the fuel delivery pipes, another one to apply grease to the slide pin on the rear brake calipers, & a 3rd one to replace the electric power steering link assembly. Per the notices received from Toyota/Lexus, all three recalls apply to '06-'07 GS models

I had the rear afs sensor replaced and it seems to be fine now. I do feel that the car is sort of "bouncy"...

Evel - I experienced the same issue with my car (where it feels as if the car is going to stall). It's only happened about 2 -3 imes in the past couple of years and when I brought it in to Lexus to have it looked at - we couldn't recreate the problem. Btw, how do you get the recall notices from Lexus? Thanks.

This must have something to do with either mileage, temperature and or humidity? My car is about the same age as both of yous but I've never felt that with up to 12k miles.

Was your AFS sensor replaced under warranty? Was it damaged due to the installation?

The factory/safety recalls arrived from Lexus by mail last week. I will take the car into Lexus to have it serviced on Wed. If you have not received the notice & have a '06-07 GS model, you should receive it any day. If not , contact a local Lexus dealership for more info.

Don't worry about updating the list, I'll take care of that. Just reply with feedback after the install.
