My car has been to the dealer SEVERAL times with no success to date. I am currently working with Lexus Corporate to resolve the rattle and ticking noises but I get the impression they are not going to do much about it. This is the second time I have gone to corporate with my concern. I dropped the car back off at the dealer last night for them to attempt to fix it. The TSB has been performed but did nothing to fix the noises. This is the 4th time the car has been to the dealer for the same rattle/ticking noise from the dash and it only has 7800 miles!

I am currently in an ES350 loaner and it makes more noises than my car. The IS250 loaners I have been given before have rattles as well. I am questioning the fit & finish of Lexus vehicles built in the last couple years due to our recent experience and I am very close to selling this car and abandoning the brand until they can get back on track. Our 2003 IS300 did not have a single issue at all.

I also have a 2007 Silverado and the fit/finish is MUCH better than our Lexus. Lexus is in trouble when a GM product is more quiet and rattle free!

I agree with you 100%. The later Lexus models feel more cheaper than the older ones and tend to rattle more and cannot handling harsh bumps as the older Lexuses did. I had a rattle, but it was resolved by my dealer. I do occasionally hear it on very very bad roads, but 95% of the time, its quiet like a Lexus should be.

Cooler weather arrived this week and a rolling rattle coming from my sunroof has appeared. Not constant but on turns there sounds like a piece of metal 'rolling' over metal for a second. It seems cooler weather opens up rattles inside the cabin of the GS350 and others. That's a shame considering how many cold months there are in Canada! Has anyone found the cause and a solution to this peculiar rattle? Not from the dash area just the moonroof headliner. Comments much appreciated.

2 times and its fixed. Was a horrible rattle coming from the windshield, i thought it was coming from the rearview mirror console, but the echo and glass actually pushed the sound there. It was really from the windshield.

All set. There is a guy his name is WAYNE. He is in Connecticut and the dealer told me this guy is the winner of all the Lexus awards, making him THE NUMBER ONE guy in the USA for Lexus TSIB situations. I was impressed. The noise is gone. He even came for a test drive with me while I drove over massive demolished roads trying to pinpoint the noise. He did the job and I went over to thank him just yesterday, success.

It can be fixed. I have a bunch of other stuff to do now. Like this TPMS sensor in aftermarket rims situation. WAYNE!!

we'll see.
I don't really buy the whole line from the dealer about the rattles being temp related. Mine Always rattles whether it's 90 or 10 degrees. I even had one service manager say the humidity caused it.

stuff and nonsense.

these cars rattle because Lexus has started to go the way of MB, making flashier, more stylized cars that manage to loose the rock-solid quality they build their reputation on.

Oh, and the GS doesn't really ride that well on rough roads, and according to the professional reviewers they missed the handling boat too.

I think equipping the awd with standard run flats was a really stupid move too. Did they not test the car with those particular tires? It is better when you replace them with a high quality touring tire. But still not really that smooth.

Damn, this is the guy I wish I knew about when I lived up that way. If anyone knows of someone in the greater Atlanta area who is kind of the 'Wayne of the South' Please Post here!
