Cold spell, odd noise from suspension

I live in Tenn. and about a week ago we had a cold spell (~40s and 50s). I noticed that when driving around, I could here a pretty loud *squeak*, for lack of a better word, coming from the car. It sounded like rubber against rubber (or metal?). Any ideas what this is and if it's something that I need to address? I was thinking/hoping that it's just the bushings adjusting to the sudden temp change. Thanks a lot!

Unless they are worn out.

hmmm, i had the same prob on another car, it was worn sway bar endlinks. from my experience, a broken strut mount, broken strut, or a worn bushing will cause that. HTH

Sounds like a bushing deal to me. Mine squeak when it gets cold outside too, but are fine during the warm temps.

Meaning what... it's normal if they are or aren't worn out?? Thanks.

That's exactly what mine is doing. Jus not sure if it's "suppose" to do that. Gracias.

I'll jus check into getting new bushings all around. Thanks to you to, suprang.

It's not supposed to do that, but it won't exactly kill you to have bad bushings. Your alignment and handling might suffer though.

Good info, thanks

Most likely your lower a-arm bushings are wearing out or just plain shot.
