Post What big brake kit do you have?

What big brake kit do you have on your car? I am trying to find out what is the popular choice among CL for big brake kits. I am not so sure if the reason why a particular brand is more popular than another is that important - after all the good big brake kits all tend to do the same things very well.

Moderators, if I am missing any other popular kit, please edit my poll and add it in. Thanks!

Hameed - most popular won't mean much because many kits can only work with large wheel fitments. Plus there's price, and a used Supra setup for example is WAAAAAAY cheaper than StopTech, Brembo, AP Racing, Endless, etc.

I agree....price plays an important role as well as fitment. Like the original post stated, most good big brakes will work essentially the same. If I had the money, I would've gone with Brembo, but due to price, I went with Rotora instead.

Henry, your too funny man...... Wanna be special huh? How about wanting to stop so fast, eye ***** go popping out of the head...hehe

I purchased Rotora for several reasons. I had the chance to visually inspect both Stoptech and Rotora and found that they both were almost indentical in build, weight, and looks. However, I was not able to actually view the Pistons between the two, therefore the stopping power between them still could be a little different. My guess is that Rotora is here to compete with the big boys! Now that they are releasing their 6 pot/4 pot setup, I think they are making a statement in the braking industry. And for the price, you can't go wrong....

Stoptech for me because:

(1) I want to be the first one to have it on GS.
(2) The price I paid is incredible.
(3) Stoptech custom made the brake kit specialized in various vehicles instead of using a template and apply it on every car like Brembo.
(4) Stoptech calipers are smaller than SupraTT ones which may be a concern for rim clearance
(5) People @ Stoptech are truly professional. I had a great interaction with them.

There are simply more reasons.

Unless he got the setup before Jan 2003.

Neo,

I hope you enjoy your brake kit. Coming down to So Cal anytime soon? Henry is coming some time in the future (forget the date) and we can all hang out @ Todd's shop.

I hope I enjoy it too. With no job, I had to slow down mods. When I get them, though, I will be @Todds since he already knows he is installing them.
