Default Weird brake fluid problem.

Hello! I have a 1999 Lexus GS300 with some weird brake problems. One is that I have the dolphin squeal from the footwell. Another is that from just recently I got a chime when I start to move from standstill.

But now to the weird thing. I got a brake light warning light in my instrument cluster, it’s because the fluid level is low. But I can’t fill more fluid in, the fluid is at the top of the funnel in the reservoir! If I depress the brake pedal 40+ times the pedal goes stiff and the fluid level is at max level again, but when I start the car it drains out again.
Because the funnel has fluid to the brim it’s impossible to fill any more, am I missing something?

I think it's time for a new (used) master cyl assembly. They just go out on these cars commonly with various lights, noises, and operational issues. I had to replace mine for lights/buzzing noises. Find a JDM seller online. Got mine for $250 shipped.

Agreed seems the likely culprit. Check all your fittings for any leakage as well.

Ok! I really don't want to do that, I live in Sweden and the GS are not common here, with shipping from US I am looking at more like $600, almost more than the car is worth
I really just need the car to pass inspection, maybe if i try to bleed the brakes one more time?

No leakage found, there is no drainage of the reservoir, it's holding steady at MIN.

Try and order from a JDM seller online directly from Japan. Don't get it from here, all ours are high mileage and worn out.

Maybe try giving these guys a call: https://www.jdmdistro.com/product-ca...ngines/toyota/ I searched for "JDM Sweden" and they came up. Ask if they can get you in contact with someone that can find and ship one.
