Building a IS250 for AutoX
As the title says, that's exactly what I'm doing, I know the IS250 is not a powerhouse when it comes to horsepower but, I don't need 500+ horses to kill some cones but, it would be nice..lol Anyways my question is I just recently sold my tein lowering springs and opted for BC racing coil overs. What I wanted to know if a minimum of 2'' inches is good for auto x ?? I currently have the F sport sway bar kit front and back and a strut tower bar I know it's useless but, I got it for free.I am also looking into the RR racing ultimate response steering system I heard good reviews on them. If anyone auto x their ISX50 chime in and let me know what ride height you are running for the track thanks. Oh I forgot to mention it's a 6sp.

I think about 1.5" lower is the sweet spot. Either the RR Racing or a set of FIGS bushings is a good upgrade if you are the least bit interested in handling performance.
You need to consider two more things:
1. What class are you going to run in? An IS250 isn't going to be really competitive in pretty much any class, but if you add the wrong combination of parts and bump into the wrong class you could be dead last in every race. That may or may not be much fun depending on your personality and goals.
2. Once you determine #1 you need tires. "Autocross" tires aren't particularly expensive but unless you are familiar with super sticky, quick wearing tires you are going to be disappointed with the ride and wear rate of a tire that is competitive at an autocross.

Tires alone will net you the greatest increase in lap time (apart from the driver mod). I'm currently testing out a set of Hankook Ventus RS4s; 200 treadwear and incredible grip.
But like what was stated, look to see what classes you fall into and make sure NOT to "out-mod" yourself out of competition.
