Akebono Brake Pads 2017 IS F sport
#19
Just to confirm.... I’m in need of brakes as well,
The Akebono ACT1118 Pads is for the fronts and Akebono ACT1113 are for the rears?
Assuming they'll fit my 2018 IS350 right?

Im assuming 2014-2018 all should be the same but all depends on the models. The IS250's have smaller brake setup up front than the IS350's. ASP1118 are label for the IS350.

I have been using ACT1118 (front) and ACT1391 (rear) on my IS300 f-sport for about 500 miles. They are a good compromise between performance and durability. No more dust. I do agree that they feel way softer than OEM pads, and the initial bite is just not there.
fwiw, I was able to get 19,000 miles out of the original f-sport pads, they had about 4-5 mm left all around when removed.

If you're going to go for "a little more performance" why not just go for stock levels of performance and go for premium german OEM pads? same maker as BMW so you know it's good. hell it's probably a close version of BMW's formula. lol

Because not everyone here cares about GERMAN pads. Akebono’s are good pads. What’s wrong with getting something OTHER than GERMAN?

Shoulda known, "Akebono" didn't sound German. Now I'm stuck with these quality pads at a reasonable price, that perform well, last long, are quiet, and don't belch dust like an open vacuum cleaner bag. After all, the signature mark of German cars is blacked-out wheels a few hours after you wash it.
