Question Brakes Install

Hey guys out of curiousity what is the going rate/charge for front brake install at a shop. Im trying to get an idea of what to expect. Basically its replacing calipers, hoses and rotor.

it varies from area to area though. in socal, it usually runs between 100 to 200?

Is it very easy to swap out a big brake kit like a 6 piston ap racing or a stoptech kit from the stock brakes then back again? I am thinking of doing this from summer/winter when summer wheels go on. So only $200 or so each time?

umm.... i was there when the install was done. it wasn't hard to take out calipers, rotors, put in calipers, etc... the hardest part i think would be the carefully bleed the whole system

Yes, the bleeding is the hard part...everything else just screws or bolts in...

But instead of doing that, why not just get some cheap 18's that will clear and put on winter tires? Moda's and Mille are pretty inexpensive (like $800/set) so I think they would make decent winter/beater tires...plus you can use one as a spare in case you get a flat up front during summer...
