Default Ebay suspension

Hey guys,

I'm on a budget right now, because I'm saving to buy a house, but my 2007 Lexus IS350 RWD needs some new shocks and struts. At 125k miles they are definitely tired.

I was looking at getting some coilovers for all 4 corners and can find a full set on ebay for about $280 shipped. I do want to lower the car about an inch. It's a daily driver and is not being raced in any way. I just want them to be reliable and comfortable with decent handling. How do the spring rates for these compare to stock and will they work for what I want? Link to what I'm considering is below.

I can’t comment on quality but for 1/4 cost of a name brand or known brand. Worth a shot vs worn OEM shocks. You can’t even get Aftermarket replacement shocks for that cheap.

Plus the labor will will be easier since these are coil overs vs decompressing old ones and recompressing onto new shocks.

If if you can DIY it’s worth a shot. If you have to pay someone, might be worthwhile to spend more to get known quality.

I do all my own work on my car save for a motor rebuild, but only because I dont have the space or tools to tackle it. It's not like I'm worried about this engine anyway. That's why I'm not too worried about giving these a shot. They do come with a 3 year warranty. I'm more interested in ride quality and am wondering if someone else has tried these to chime in on that.

I plan on getting an ISF or a gt350 after I buy a house, but I'm still going to keep this car so I want to maintain it for long term use.

After doing some YouTube searches of $200 eBay coilovers. This will be my next mod and video. I was planning on changing shocks since I have some barely used OEM laying around but since I have to compress and decompress the spring, I haven’t gotten to it.

Doing these will be quick since it’s assembled. If they suck, at least I can do the spring swap at my leisure and put oem shocks and my springs back. But since I’m not too picky about suspension probably leave them.

Seems like the ebay brand is MAXpeedingROD brand.

I would save a little more for Tein at the minimum. You get what you pay for, somethings you just shouldn't go cheap on IMO. If you want to save up longer, get BC coilovers. I haven't had any problems with them.

Just pulled the trigger on this suspension using the 15% off coupon code (PERFECTDAY) today on eBay. $191 OTD. Will post reviews and install on YouTube once I get them and find time to install.

For that price....if they work, not gonna complain. Better than stock shocks that are leaking and done.

Hey guys I was browsing the forums and i came across this post so i registered and thought i would put my input since i bought the same orange coilovers about 2 months ago.

First of all For the price I recommend them 100 Percent, I have an 07 is350 and with 140K miles one of my factory struts went bad, I was already contemplating lowering my car and while looking at coilovers i saw these i got mine for $218 and figured if they blow oh well. They are soft and feel like OEM so it does have some body roll when braking and making sharp turns but not that bad. So far hey have been in the car for 2 months and they still ride great! I do recommend these, more expensive does not always equal better. IMO

Still sitting in Box. Been traveling for work and got a vacation next week to Europe so may be a while before I get around to opening or install.

So after a few weeks of having these on, any feedback? I may snag a set if they're not garbage
