Default 11.6 or 11.7 inch Rotors - Front and Rear?????

Hi, I am looking to purchase EBC Brakes Front and Rear Set - Premium Rotors as they appear to be a good deal and Youtube has convinced me that they are safer bets than other generic brands.

I read JL's post (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...009-is250.html) earlier regarding thickness, but what about diameter? I have a 2010 Lexus IS250AWD Base model, purchased in Ontario,Canada (so I assume "destined for Canada").

As per the seller of the parts "http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/ebc-brake-kits" they requests 11.6" and 11.7" with a manufactured in "Country" clause. Which ones do I choose?

As per http://www.oemlexusparts.com/2010-le...rakes-8916245/ there are 4 part numbers associated to my car for
Front Rotors: 4351230320 / 43512230340 / 4351630010 / 4351630030.
Rear Rotors: 424310W030 / 4243430280 / 4243430290.

Please help.

All IS250 front brakes are 296 mm (11.7 in), so that's not an actual difference.

Your car has the 296 x 28 mm front rotors (43512-30310) and 291 x 10 mm rear rotors (42431-30280).

Their listings are a bit odd, since no cars were made in Canada or the USA, but rather made in Japan for Canada or the USA, and 11.6/11.7 again doesn't make sense. If you want the correct stuff from that website, choose "Base, 2.5L V6, with 11.7" rotors, manufactured in Canada" for the front and "Base, 2.5L V6, with 11.5" rotors, manufactured in Canada" for the rear (though Canada/USA doesn't matter for the rear, but whatever).

Default JL is the man

Got a quote in from my local Lexus dealership for the parts needed for a brake disc and pad change. The products mentioned by JL are in alignment with the quote. There were 4 other things tacked onto this quote which amounted to a hefty sum and would like to know if they are needed when I perform this replacement myself:

04945-53050 - Shim Kit, Brake
04946-30110 - Shim Kit, Brake
04947-53020 - Fitting Kit, Brake
04948-30220 - Repair Kit, Brake

I've done this maintenance work before on my Honda and it never needed supplemental parts, but given this is my first Lexus, I think there may be some nuances I should definitely know about before going at this myself. Thanks

You shouldn't need those parts, provided the parts on the car are still in good condition.

Just be careful not to lose any of the retaining clips... I lost the center bridge one and the only way i could get another one was to wait for a special order or buy the whole repair kit
