Since people were talking about group buys, it probably violated the forum rules.

I get that point if it actually turned in to a group buy, but the discussion was among people that have these cars exploring ways to get a part for them. If it actually turned into a group buy, then obviously it needed to go elsewhere.

Agreed. My last post was asking where the group buy thread, if it was to actually happen, should be placed. There was no actual group buy yet, just a discussion on a possibly good source of parts at a cost that many members here would like to take advantage of. The decent response from moderators would've been to post info on where these things should be placed, or simply move the thread. Deleting the entire thing, along with information that many members could find useful, was not very cool.

Moderators or Administrators usually do not need to explain why a thread is deleted because the rules of the forum are well explained . If you haven't read the rules, I would advice everyone to do so so you are not surprised why a thread is deleted.

This is the reason why the thread was deleted by the Administrator :

"Group Buys (GB) or bulk sales are allowed ONLY in conjunction with a Club Lexus authorized vendor. ‘Gathering interest’ posts for group buys or new products are also not allowed without the prior support of an authorized Club Lexus vendor which can be coordinated directly through the vendor or requested of moderators or the forum administrator. Linking to group buys sponsored by non-CLUB LEXUS vendors or on other sites/forums is not allowed.

Inappropriate GB posts will be promptly closed or removed without notice."

The thread started having posts like someone wanting to set up a group buy and people chiming in being interested or wanting to jump into the possible group buy . It doesn't have to be an actual group buy for a thread to be deleted. "Gathering Interests" as stated above is not allowed .

Closing this thread now since the OP's question is answered .
