Default Busted Sway Bar Bracket

I recently took my car end after the worst rattling/vibrating sound was coming from the front left. Straight up embarassing to be squeaking around like a hooptie. Dealer informed me that the sway bar bracket was cracked. Dealer then tried to tell me that the reason it cracked was due to the TRD STB because it makes the suspension stiff and the car has nowhere to give (except for the sways). Because it's under warranty they are replacing it, but told me that if i leave the STB on and the sway bracket cracks again, it's on my wallet. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I think i read something a while back where 2000 gs400 had some sway problems? Any suggestions?

i really doubt if the stb can put so much force on it. i would think the crack is done by suddenly drop of one wheel, say going over a deep pothole or whatever. a lot of people have the problem with the trd sways, now yes that's coz' of the sways being too stiff. but stb, it's hard to imagine

Maybe I'm biased, but that sounds like a load of crap. Anything that breaks, the dealer wants to pawn it off on and aftermarket piece. A TRD piece no less

Of all teh TRD Sways and STB installed here, these are teh only 2 I've ever heard of causing any types of problems.

I can vouch for myself, Bitkahuna, DaveGS4, and of course 1sicklex, and we all certainly (esp sick on a daily basis ) have pushed our cars to teh limit with these components with never a problem.

studaddy, I hope you find a resolution. Remend them that they are Toyota pieces.
