Hello Mike! I have looked closely at all options discussed including having lengthly discussions with both manufactures. I do not disagree that high performance blanks would probably be the best choice for simple performance on city streets. Track time would be different! I changed out pads about 3 months ago and went with EBC ceramic pads. Higher performance and probably a 50% reduction of dust. I can live with it! Pads are more expensive but you get what you pay for. As for rotors I'm still on the fence between EBC's slotted or Stop Tech's cross drilled. I like the slotted because it's what used on the GS F and would therefore look more consistent with Lexus. You're not going wrong either way and no you won't see a drop off in braking performance because you have drilled rotors. What you might find is your pads need replacing quicker. Again pads are cheap so a non issue for me.
