I have a problem with my is250 2009 awd, I need to change all the power steering pinion rack gear, my question is. I have to lower the engine to make this change, or just buy the part and replace it

I just got the bushings and they said they gotta lower the engine... i feel im getting ripped off tho

Someone here has made this change of piece that can tell me step by step how to do or what to do and if it is necessary to lower the engine and why

You'll have to drop the subframe to wiggle the rack out. My guess is it's the same as installing the front F sport sway bar. I'm installing the rack bushings this weekend. I'll definitely be able to give you an answer.
