I am currently running tein street advance coilovers and they actually ride very nice. They aren't that stiff but still a lot stiffer than stock. Rears don't go that low, about an inch wheel gap all the way down. For the price you can't beat them.

IMO, for a better ride quality (and if you don't plan to adjust ride height often), it would probably be best to go with spring/shock combo that retains the factory tophat. Certain TEIN models also retain this, and allow for some height adjustment. If you want to go lower than the SC springs can drop, you can go with mk4 versions.
I had Megan on my previous SC and didn't think the ride was bad. I didn't have super low profile tires though, so that may be part of the reason.
If you are in SoCA, I have an extra set of complete mk4 B&G springs on Bilstein shocks for sale. If you are interested, I am willing to let you try them out for a week before purchase. You would probably need to relocate your harness, regardless of which setup you go with though.

BC Coilovers
I just installed BC coilovers yesterday and I'm not impressed with them. So far, I have made several damper adjustments but the ride is still bouncy and and firm at the same time.
Maybe they are too new but not sure.

I had Megan Stree LP's back in the day and they were nice for the price at the time. Those coilovers are much more expensive now.
i currently run BC coilovers and like them a lot. They can be customized quite a bit. If you have a bigger budget then Fortune Auto is considered to be much better while having custom spring rate options like BC.

I know it's not on an SC but on my 2GS I'm running Cusco Street Zero Red-A coilovers with special ordered spring rates (14kg/mm fronts, 9kg/mm rears).
They are built really nicely and the ride quality is incredible. I'm slightly lowered, but I do have my the damper settings about 3/4 to full hard - rides more like an OE sports sedan as opposed to somewhat an aftermarket item (if that makes sense). The SC weighs something similar to the GS so I'd assume that the ride quality would be somewhat similar.
These are my favourite coilovers so I'll be buying these again with the same spring rates for my Soarer that I'm restoring.

I've installed BC Racing Coilovers last year, it was bouncy at first since I donno how to adjust the rebound. Took it to my local tuner for alignment, and he sorted it out for me. Rides like a dream, not bouncy nor too firm.
